#702 Hey everyone, it's Audrey here. Haha, I know right, what's up with the formal greeting? It's 12am right now and I should really be asleep 'cause I have to be up fucking early later but I was (and still am) on Facebook and almost everyone's status is related to life after the Os. I bet 90% of the conversations these few days are related to that. Now, can I just say that it is really fucking hair-pulling type of irritating to not be able to have a decent conversation with anyone that does not start with inquiries about our results and what school we're planning to head to? (Please... For the love of god, just give all of us a break. Unless you started/enjoy it then okay.) I was feeling very stressed and unusually pessimistic over life from this point onwards that my mind just shut down completely. I didn't know where I could go to gurgle out everything that has been kept inside of me for so long. I'm not lying when I say this but my fingers just decided to type the url of this blog and here I am... It's no surprise though. After all this is the place that contains all the memories that we've shared, the times of our lives where everything was just plain innocent, the 2 years where we did not really care that deeply yet about what was going to happen after leaving Secondary 2 and all we ever did care about was treasuring each day of being together. Remember the Osim chairs in Literature class? Or that time when everyone was repeating the word "noob" like 1500 times a day, so much so that Miss Yvonne Tan picked it up too to make us pay attention in Math class. What about when our class was fired with a lot of erm, constructive comments from the teachers and stereotyping that fighting for our rights actually led to quite a scene... And maybe this is just me but there's always certain period(s) in the year where a few people in our class will get depressed and somehow, almost everyone starts feeling that way too. Haha, talk about class spirit. Last but not least, the class outings and annual class chalets (We should be given an award for being the most consistent class, seriously.) Of course, disagreements surfaced once in a while but look at where we are now. It's quite funny how fucking nostalgic one can get. It's only been 2 years and I'm already feeling like the world is falling apart and everything can only go downwards from here. Who's to say what's gonna happen when 2024 or something comes? Oh and one more thing... Can you believe that we're turning 17 this year?! No longer are we at the age where we are old enough to understand but still young enough not to care. Things are going to a lot more different from the 27th. No matter where our lives head to, I really really wish all of you the best for everything that you will start on and encounter. I hope that our two years in this class have at the very least left an impression on you. For me, I can safely and seriously admit that a few of my life's turning points happened with you guys. Change is the only constant thing and it would seem impossible to do this but... I do hope that all of us will keep in contact with one another. Given the technology we have in this world, that is not a difficult task to achieve but because of it, we can also drift apart from each other slowly and unknowingly. Before you think that this is a farewell post, stop. I'm intending to keep this alive for as long as I live okay? Even when I'm 60/70/80, that is if I can live for that long. Last but definitely not the least, thank you to every single person in this class for without whom, I will not be who I am today. :) X, Audrey |
